Most Popular Halloween Candy

The days of apples as favorite Halloween treats are long since gone. Today, it's all about the candy. And just what are the favorite Halloween candies among trick-or-treaters? According to Lycos, the Internet search engine, the most searched-for Halloween candy in 2004 were:

If you can't quite swallow handing out sugary treats, there are non-sweet alternatives that still might go over big with the trick-or-treaters. Halloween-themed stickers, temporary tattoos, or pencils are popular. So are small bottles of bubbles, small cans of playdoh, or noisemakers. Edible, non-candy treats can include individual-sized packages of pretzels or sugar-free gum.

Well now that its 2009 the candies have changed soooooo much. No one wants to be handed candy corn or hot tamales anymore, trust me, kids want anything that is bright, colourful... and tasty. Personally my favourite halloween treats are Fun Dips, Jolly Ranchers and Tootsie Pops. Tootie Pops are Lolliepops that have a tootsie roll in the middle, and are surprisingly very good. Try them! You'll love them!
