this was a BEST SELLER toy in December 1949!! One of the earliest FISHER PRICE toys, it is all wood, no plastic at all. This one is in working order. Pull him and he makes the CHUG CHUG sound, and the eyes roll. The bell still rings fine. Original paint very good, original decals very good, one wheel piston rod dowel has been replaced, it remains unpainted. Original attaching nails... pull string also appears to be original to this vintage toy. Makes a great display item!!
