A uniquely stunning small plaque, it was purchased in the late 1990s by my late Grand farther in Christies sale house. We know that the plaque in most likely French but styled in the Grecian theme. The gilt bronze plaque has a silver centre depicting what we believe is Mary and Joseph holding Child Christ. The plaque I was told wasonce part of a set of plaques that surrounded a marble chest, the actual date we are unsure it could well be a lot older. Signed on the lower right but again we don\'t know the maker, between Mary and Joseph is the Greek word for God. Size of plaque 6.5\" by a little under4\", the frame 14\" by 10.5\" and 2\" deep, Christies sale lot number sticker on the back.The detail and crisp image is truly beautiful, please feel free to ask any questions, sent well wrapped and fully recorded.Thank you.
