It is assumed that the “heads” are depictions of deceased chiefs, heroes or gods.
The giant statues on Easter Island are some of the world’s most intriguing,
mysterious and photographed archeological artifacts. This wonderful fountain is made of solid gray cement,
has a rough stone finish and is stained with
darkbrownish-black acid stains and has a 1/2 hose
that comes out backside bottom edge. Pump not included.I recently redid my rock garden and took a few pictures
showing Tiki fountain running and one as a planter.
I just have the pot sitting in top until I get new soil!

Question:
Why do our hands get \"dirty\" when we rub the patina stained statue webought?
Answer:
Several coats of stain are applied to get a rich, deep color. Some colors leave a residual more than others.
After patina staining each statue (we let stain soak in 2-24 hours) then wehose off to rinse excess stain
but we don’t neutralize (baking soda & water)because more staining may be needed.
Once statue is dry patina dust may stilllinger and rub off on your fingers/hands.
If you find this to be a problem with thestatue you receive, go outdoors (not in a stainless sink)
and use a solution ofabout 4 tablespoons baking soda in a gallon of water and pour over statue and
rub gently with fingers (wear a latex glove) to lightly remove
(you are nottrying to remove all stain, just the light dusty layer on top) then rinse withhose.
