Superb 19thc Wedgwood solid black jasperwareplaque of Sir William Hamilton Ambassador to Naples.

Fabulous quality and with great detail.

The plaque originally modelled by JoachimSmith in c1773.

In very good condition.

Impressed on the rear “WEDGWOOD SIR WILLIAMHAMILTON”

The plaque measures 5.25 inches x 4 inches.

Reference is made to the Plaque in WEDGWOODJASPER by Robin Reilly page 338 and a similar plaque can be seen on page 123fig 103 of the same publication.
