Sword is completely original with no restoration on my part, blade looks to have been cleaned at some point. All identification marks are present. This sword is # 23,416 made in 1862. The blade is marked with U.S.N the intials D.R. and the date 1862. D.R. stands for Daniel Reynolds which was responsible for inspecting the M1860 D.R. is also on the pommel which resembles a Phrygian helment. Overall sword length is 32\", additional info on the M1860 can be found at /> My sword has some tiny nicks on the blade in spots. All specs on this sword match up to know specs on the M1860 sword.
