Woven Silk Brocade Fabric.Description:
This incredibly lovely antique brocade was woven in silk in France during the late 18th or early 19th century.
The design features beautiful stems of roses, tulips and carnations tied in ribbons and bows
along with a geometric border and charming swags of floral vines.
The colors are tones of ink, purple, lavender, blue, green, gold, very pale salmon/ecru and rust on a cream colored background.The fabric measures 16 inches in width at the bottom; 17 inches in width at the widest point
by 21 inches in length.This medium to heavy weight silk fabric would charming for a pillows or other sewing projects!
It would also be beautiful framed!Condition:
This is antique fabric.
There are two large stains as well as other surface dirt and other lighter stains.
There is a horizontal seam 6\" down from the top and a pull in the flower on the left side of the piece.Please see photos for reference.All fabrics, wallpapers and paintings are sold \"as is\".
