Very rare antique Greek icon of Saint Eustase ( Efstathios), Cretan school 16th century

Technique : Egg tempera on wood, gesso, gilt background with gold leaf, varnish
Provenance: Cretan workshop , mid 16th centuryThis is an authentic antique icon of Saint Eustace riding a red horse and holding a lance while on the right part of the icon on a small mountain we see the deer which brings on the hornes a cross according to his biographyThe icon was purchased by a collection in the USA by me and has been restored ( cleaned ) by professional restorer of antiquities. It has been recently cleaned and restored, it is certified and guarantied 100% authentic, restored according to the terms of restoration of antiquities in Greece.
