The icon is divided into four panels, each depicting an image of a Miracleworking Theotokos: (left top) Ridding of the Ills of Suffering Mother of God, (right top) Sooth My Sorrows Mother of God, (left bottom) Soothing of Evil Hearts Mother of God, and (right bottom) Search for Perished Mother of God.

Egg tempera on silvered and gessoed wood.
