Rare Antique early 1900\'s Film tripod , by THALHAMMER ,Ltd of Los Angeles California , 8 mm Camera Tripod / polished nickle orChromeon Steel & wooden tripod
From the gentleman we picked this piece from said \"this here 8 mm tripod was used by or great granddad when he started the picture movies in the 20\'s\" so we believe from the digging we have done that this does go to the early 1920 to 1930\'s era of film making and it appears to be an 8 mm tripod made by one of the Los Angeles film gear company\'s of that era.
Very Good condition , some very light rust is starting but that reveals the age of this piece , 2 of the bottom pieces of rubber are missing . The brakes or stops on the feet work great , all screw in clips work great , the top swivel and adjustment piece work fantastic . A truly rare and collectible movie memorabilia piece .
Measures approximately 31 inches when compacted with and extension piece of metal 27 inches total length ,
