Up for Sale is Art Print of Antique 18th \"The Holy Family\" by Francesco Manciniin Burgundy/Brown Ornate Baroque Frame.
Francesco Mancini(1679–1758) was an Italian painter whose works are known between 1719 and 1756.This depiction of the Holy Family combines classicism with the Baroque in a fascinating manner. While the swirling composition and the artist\'s use of colour and modelling harks back to the seventeenth century, his emphasis on the sentimentality of the scene is typical of painting produced in Italy in the early eighteenth century. In addition, the apparently incongruous inclusion of monuments more readily associated with ancient Rome - the temple and obelisk depicted in the top right of the canvas - draws attention not only to the painter\'s knowledge of classical art, but to the changes in taste which would see neoclassicism become hugely popular in the mid-eighteenth century.
