Contemporary red straight-grain morocco in chinoiserie style, elaborately gilt, with a triple border of solid line, greek key ornament, and spears piercing disks, the central field with six columns, urns, lions, and floral stamps, ivy-leaf garlands, and a central column with a figure, wearing a Manchu queue in his hair and holding a spear pointed downward, edges gilt; extremities worn and partially mended.CONDITION REPORTlight marginal spotting and browning.
