This painting makes me smile every time I look at this adorable young child and the colorful flowers. She reminds me of young Natalie Wood, the actress.
The artist has titled the work,\"My Make Believe Meredith\". The subject is listed as Meredith Merriday. I\'m not sure if that is a real person or not.
The artist\'s use of light and shadows is striking! The dark back ground makes the colors more intense.
Painted in acrylics and signed and dated Virginia Cassel, 1970. It is painted on a large 22x28 inch canvas. With the lovely gold painted period frame, it measures about 25x30.
