From the Light of theWorld collection of the Bible series, it is number 11 of the 650-piece edition.It measures 13”x8\"x11”. The original issue price of “Believing” was $1195.However, since this sculpture was originally purchased, there has been an increasein pricing and several increases in the cost of the bronze used in production,so it is currently selling for $1795. In addition to the original Certificateof Authenticity and Registration Card, I will be including the PresentationPage. This has a full-page image of \"Believing\" on the front, andshows all of the pertinent information relating to the piece on the back, alongwith a paragraph highlighting the artist. I will also include an insert that gives a briefbiographical introduction to the sculptor, and lists some well known privateand corporate collectors of Mark Hopkins\' work. What the pictures might not adequately show is the extraordinary skill with which Mark has executed the hands in this piece. For many artists, hands are such a difficult feature that they avoid or gloss over them. Mark Hopkins, however, is aware of the immense power of the hand to convey emotion or tension. Rather than avoid sculpting them, he uses his vast talent to maximize them and make them a focal point of his art. This is truly a profound piece.This stunning piece is especially unique and rare, because of its incrediblylow edition number. Thispiece is from a large private estate collection - it belonged to my parents. Ihave kept some of their sculptures of course, but I\'m afraid I simply don\'thave nearly a big enough house to store all of them or properly display them.It originally comes from and has since been safely stored in a smoke-free andpet-free home.
