For sale, two Canadian National Railway -CNR- \"Rimmed Oatmeal Bowls in the Queen Elizabeth Pattern\".Manufactured by \"Royal Doulton, Circa 1923-27. One of the oldest patterns used by the CNR.
The fine translucent porcelain body features a white base body with a single brown outer edge pinstripe and a top marked logo \"Canadian National System\". Logo features a grey outline and blue and brown background with maple leaf and shield. Has a slightly raised pin fired foot. Measures 6 \" in diameter and stands about 1 3/4\" in height. Outer rim sloped inward measures 3/4\".

CONDITION: Read Carefully: The two pieces display very well. Colours are sharp, with minimal or no indication of service use. Some slight wear to the to the exterior brown pinstripe. Logos on both pieces are good ( logo was a shortcoming on these pieces as it was transfer applied right on an edge which in turn led to fading and abnormal wear). This problem is not present here. There are no cracks, chips or other defects. Overall excellent display pieces and interesting shapes.
