A Project for an Equitable and lasting Peace, Designed in the year 1643...., printed in the year 1648.Printed pamphlet on 8 pages, dis-bound and now interleaved in modern quarto boards, sheets are foxed, toned and somewhat soiled, with a couple creased spots. Altogether, still a very handsome and attractive item.Ex-libris Fairfax of Cameron.The pamphlet was an attempt in the latter stages of the War to revive proposals put forward in the first few months of hostilities. Even at this late stage there was still a considerable movement to try to get a peaceful settlement with the King. (Wing N498).
