Vintage German wooden doll, in her folk costume ready to go to the festival. She has a pink pillbox hat with a large bow on the back and a little blue purse on her arm. The purse is removable. The detail is amazing. The sleeves are really leg-o-muttonshaped with a larger \"puff\" at the top. Similar items have labels which read: \" Made in the German Democratic Republic, VEB HOLZWAREN, GAHLENZ.\" This means it was made before the fall of the Berlin wall and is 30 or 40 years old. They were part of a large lot of German wooden items I got from a shop that was selling out its old inventory. She is 2.5 inches (6 cm) tall.
