\"As winter snows fall gently to the ground, two forest sentinels search for signs of life in the stillness of the woods. Less vigilant searchers would only find vast whiteness, but no small movements will escape the \'Eyes of Winter\'.\" - Mark Hopkins. This sculpture was the 1999 Annual Edition of the Wilderness Visions Collection and was released in April of that year. It was retired in 2000. This piece is incredibly unique and extremely rare, because the original owner special ordered the #65. However, ONLY 41 pieces of the edition were ever cast, so this is #65 of a 41-piece edition. It measures 16”x21”. The originalissue price of “Eyes of Winter” was $1325, with an updated appraisal value of $2200, due the current estimated costs of materials and production. In addition to the Certificate of Authenticityand Registration Card, I will include a full-color Mark Hopkins brochure thatoutlines the production method used to create the piece, as well as a briefbiographical introduction to the sculptor. I will also include an insert thatgives a similar biographical introduction to the sculptor, and lists some wellknown private and corporate collectors of Mark Hopkins\' work. Thispiece is from a large private estate collection - it belonged to my parents. Ihave kept some of the sculptures of course, but I\'m afraid I simply don\'t havenearly a big enough house to store all of them or properly display them. It originallycomes from and has since been safely stored in a smoke-free and pet-free home.Though I know they were never able to actually display it themselves, I havepersonally inspected the piece thoroughly to ensure that it is in brand new andpristine condition.
