This is an extremely attractive, fully restored, larger size, vintage 1920-1929 era, black iron, GRISWOLD #9 LARGE BLOCK / ERIE PA., U.S.A. LOGO CAST IRON HEAT RING SKILLET. It bears pattern number \"710B\". Its upper bowl rim measures 11.25\" diameter, its cooking surface measures 9.25\" diameter, and bowl depth measures 2\". Its inside bowl cooking surface retains a mirror-like silky smooth-to-the-touch texture...exhibiting just an insignificant smattering of ultra-light previous usage marks. This same surface lies completely flat when gauged with a straight edge. The pan displays a negligible tad of movement when placed on a flat surface...this being a result of original factory bowl heat ring manufacturing tolerances only. It is perfectly suited for use over any cooking heat source...including flat glass electric! All underside bowl lettering is strong and unworn. There are no repairs, pitting, hairline fractures, cracks, or warpage. This extremely attractive vintage classic Griswold skillet has been completely reconditioned, hand cleaned, and 450 degree heat darkened and seasoned with grape seed oil.
