This was acquired in Charleston, SC where these are made from the sweet grass that grows naturally in the low country from SC to Ga. coastal regions. The weaving tradition has been carried down from generation to generation. THERE IS AN ISSUE WHERE the handle has come loose at the area at the top of where it attaches to the basket. It may be repairable but can be used as is. (The back will be against the wall in most cases). Please note that you are buying as is.
