Description:Georgian solid silver vinaigrette bright gilt unusual pierced grill which look like peonies which is reflected by the design on the rear of the case . Peonies were the synbol of good luck & often giving to brides to carry in the regency period so I presume this would be a ladies vinaigrette. Please look at this design & tell me if you agree with my interpretation.

Measurements:3.5 cms by 2cms by 1cms.

Weight :16.5 grams

Hallmarks: makers mark S & S beong Simpson & son quite a rare but established maker of vinaigrettes.

Birmingham assay mark of the anchor, the tax duty paid head of George III & date letter t for 1817.

Condition, really lovely bright gold interior great exterior case unusual decoration , has astylised initials to the cartouche please see the photos
