This is a nice reproduction of an early war-worn Union Blue Confederate Captain Civil War Frock Coat - Very, very nice all around and a great example of the costumes used in the making of the movie \"Gods & Generals\". Your coat will come WITH these exact buttons and Insignia as seen in the photos.

Made of a nice, not too heavy dark-blue wool with U.S. Eagle buttons. Has little \"age\" to the coat (has been dry cleaned as I found thereceiptfrom Western Costumes showing it was cleaned after filming). It is a standard Union Junior Officer\'s Frock Coat with Union Army Staff Officer (black) Captains shoulder rank.

WORN by actor Stephen Spacek for scenes portraying Captain James Power Smith during the opening of the film and the Battle of Bull Run 1861 scenes alongside Stephen Lang as he portrayed one of Stonewall Jackson\'s personal aides in the movie. Images attached of the actor wearing this coat in the final film.

Made to fit a size 42\" Regular chest, and Made to fit a standard US size - and fits nice on the body as it should for this era -- Lined. Comes with the Costume Department original tag with info on the actor and coat which has stayed with this costume since 2001!
