Magnificent Torchiere Pair Pure Sterling Silver 12.8 Pounds Very Rare 18th C:
Magnificent and Extraordinary pair of lanterns TORCHIERES, PAIR, used in 18th/19TH century ceremonies, extremely rare, you can find only in Museums, in pure solid sterling silver, tautered and chiseled, with flowers, volutes and curled, top parts in 3 sides, door with florida trellis (one of them need to fix only screw)The pair has them poles, is part sterling silver and part in copper,which is normal on that epoch.They are from 18th /19th Century, has no mark which is normal on that epoch. They are mine about 30 years. I bought in sale I have receipt.The pair is adapted for lamp only inside and they are fully original.The poles are separated in 2 parts for transportation, that should be soldiers.Excellent condition!It is now used in Palaces and currently only found only in importantr Museums.Look the last Picture, you find only in Books about important sterling silver antiques.Weight : both= 12.800" pure sterling silver without polessizes: 23" x 10 " each oneheight with poles: 64"
