This sale is fora MINT NEVER HINGED Fine-Very Fine Pair of Scott #1057, the 3c Statue of Liberty (Liberty Seriescoil), Wet Printed,Large Hole,PRECANCELED \"PITTSBURGH PA.\", Precancel Stamp Society Style 61.
Commonly found used, infrequently found with never hinged original gum. The Precancel Stamp Society Bureau Precancel Catalog, 5th Edition states: \"Some collectors collect bureau precancels with gum. This is particularly challenging for issues before August 1967. Previously, sale of precancels to collectors was prohibited, and most dealers in bureaus soaked off the gum to avoid the appearance of violating postal regulations. Asa result, there can be a large premium for some full gum bureaus, especially for issues prior to 1967.\"
