Description Mulan– original pencil layout drawing of Mulan riding Khan while leaving Mushu and Cri-Kee behind plus character movements and camera notations used in the production of the 1998 Walt Disneyanimated feature film “Mulan,” about 3 by 5 inches on a 10 1/2 by 13 inch sheet of animation paper, in very good condition. The drawing indicates the moment when Mulan decided to become a warrior and warn the emperor of the danger ahead. The drawing is unsigned but was drawn by Tom Shannon who worked at Disney for over 20 years as a layout artist in storydevelopment and would have created this drawing to illustrate a key scene in the sequence of the script that was part of a workbook assigned to him. Tom Shannon\'s job was normally todevelop story details including the design of details in characters andbackgrounds before the final script was approved and animation began. He workedon many Disney films including Aladdin, Atlantis:TheLost Empire, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King,and Mulan. This drawing comes from a recent estate sale of Tom Shannon.
