I am not an expert and do not authenticate items, I merely buy and sell. In my opinion it is an authentic piece, I know for a fact that the previous owner was a dentist of Hebrew decent. However I am not in a position to say if it is an original or not, therefore I hold no responsibility if it is not original. Please look over the photos and decide for yourself if you think it is original, I will not be accepting returns for anything other than damage and I will be packing it very well so I would not expect damage. I will also not accept returns for buyers remorse.
You can feel there is more than one layer, I think it is three layer construction. Two layers of silver on one layer of copper. You can feel that the layers are not fused together except for at the rim. If you pinch a certain part of the plate you can feel and hear the layers touching.
