Item Description:

This wonderful old Navajo concho belt has 11 silver conchos with a great silver buckle. The belt combines 3 different styles of conchos which adds a lot of interest to the belt and gives it a great look. Eight of the conchos are round with scalloped edges and turquoise at the center. They have raised repousse and great old handstamp work. The round conchos measure 2 3/8\" in diameter. There are matching oval conchos at either end of the belt that measure 2 3/4\" by 2 1/4\". They also have great repousse and handstamping. The center concho is the largest and has a turquoise stone at the center, it measures 2 3/4\" by 2 3/8\". The buckle measures 3 1/2\" by 2 1/2\" and has a great design with deep handstamping and turquoise stones. The belt weighs 1 pound, 1.4 ounces or 492 grams. The length from the buckle to the end is 41\", from the center of the buckle to the first hole is 33\" and to the last hole is 38\"The belt would fit down to a 31 inch with another hole added... The leather measures 2 3/8\" wide and the leather also shows great patina. There are two silver \"patches\" on the back of the buckle that look to be old repairs. They were well done and the buckle is strong. Overall, this is a great old concho belt. It came from an old ranch here in Arizona and this belt had been in the family for a long time.
