Antique Victorian Birder, Bird Watcher, Stickpin, Great Horned OWL, Silver with Gold overlay. 2 1/4\"L x 3/4\"w x 5/16\"d. This owl is from a group of antiquestickpins I recently acquired. Not on the market since purchased over the last 50 years. Although not marked this is sterling with gold (unknown karat) overlay. It has beautiful hand tooled work and is very realistic in its sculptural reliefappearance. The glass eyes, probably German, punctuate and accentuate the contrast of the coloration between the gold and silver. Gold filled twisted strengthenedpin. Simply striking.
