<img are offerding on a large, pencil portrait of Mary Todd Lincoln. This is a very well-documented piece of historical art work. Two times in its life, once in 1960, and then again in 1984, this \"painting\" was accepted for display in the preeminent Lincoln collection in the world. The Illinois State Historical Library.
Along with this portrait, the winning buyer will all receive all the documentation to that end. I\'ve taken photos of the documentation, but upon request, I will scan all the documents, and email them to a prospectivebuyer.
I imagine thata discriminating collector of Lincolniana would be very proud to add this artwork to his/her collection, and perhaps even would consider loaning it, or even \"gifting\" it to the aforementioned Illinois State Historical Library. Wouldn\'t that be something...to actually own an important piece of Lincoln history!
The framed portrait measures 255/8\" x 33\". And the matted visible artwork dimensions are 193/4\" x 27\". It is a large and substantial piece of history.
For those that collect Civil War historical items, but may be unfamiliar with the Lincolniana Collection at the Illinois State Historical Library...suffice it tojust say,it \"is one of the largest in existence and is exclusively used by scholars and historians of Lincoln and the Civil War.\"
