About Second Chance Silver

We are one of the largest buyers of Gold, Silver, Platinum and Coins in Pennsylvania. We mainly buy scrap, but in some cases we purchase some very nice items that I feel deserve a “Second Chance”. Over the years I have purchased 1000`s of cool items and I always wondered how and why people could just give up on years of memories. So I decided to keep those memories going. I think its pretty cool when an item starts out in a small town and spends 10-50+ years there then before it just gets destroyed and melted down it gets a “Second Chance” to make memories with someone new. If only they could share the life they have lived, places they have been, just all the stories behind them I\'m sure the they would be great.

Besides the jewelry from yesterday is much nicer then the new stuff today. And Silver just looks better against the skin. :)

What is “Sterling Silver”?
Sterling silver is the most popular silver alloy in the world for jewelry. Sterling silver (.925 silver) is an alloy consisting of 92.5 percent fine silver and 7.5 percent other metals (usually copper). Jewelry makers use sterling silver because of its strength and durability, fine silver alone is soft and to easily damaged to be used for jewelry. In the United States Sterling Silver must be at least 92.5% fine silver to be marketed as Sterling Silver.

CLEANING PROCESS

Each piece is washed in warm water with a mild soap to remove dirt and oils. It is then electrolytically cleaned in hot water with Sodium Carbonate to remove any tarnish. Items with porous stones are cleaned differently. Then they are lightly scrubbed with a special paste to clean behind settings and remove any left behind tarnish. Once dry each piece is quickly polished, photographed, weighed, sized, numbered and packed.

All shipping is FREE. All items are shipped USPS First Class with tracking. International shipping is shipped USPS First Class International. With International shipping the tracking works up until it leaves the states. I will not be held responsible for delays with customs or lost items.

RETURNS

I offer a 14 day return policy on all items. (Due to daily market changes I DO NOT accept returns on bullion, coins or diamonds.) It means more to me that you are happy with your purchase then just another sale. If for any reason you are not pleased contact me immediately so we can resolve any issues. I do my best to size and describe my items, but I can make mistakes. I am a very easy person to work with. :)
