This listing is for a terracotta redware advertising jar dating to the 19th century. One side of the jar is painted with \"Bengal Chutney Prepared by Shaik Abdool Fyco Calcutta Imported only by \"Crosse and Blackwell 21 Soho Square London.\" The other side partially reads \"for using with all all kinds of cold meats, poultry, game. etc. an indespensable requisite with curries.\" As can be seen in the photos there are also some applied Chinese characters as well. It measures 3.75 inches tall and is about 3 inches across at its widest point. It is in nice condition showing only some scattered losses of paint.
