~ RARE! ~ PAIR OF EARLY VICTORIAN HORSE DRAWN FUNERAL HEARSE CARRIAGE REAR DOORS.

Of grave interest: Presenting a pair of 19th century early funeral hearse doors. These are too cool! They are complete & have their original thick oval beveled casket viewing windows. Constructed entirely by hand with traditional joinery with solid oak framing & bound in hand forged iron with a lip at edges. May be hard to see in pics,these doors are curved on two planes / two directions to match the curves of the carriage side & back.

Spooky is an understatement, with their original black finish & Red pin striping outside & Red milk paint finish on the beaded wood panels inside. There is some wear to the exterior as you can see &they can be repainted black if you like. I love the hand carved, curvy \"eyebrows\" above the glass windows- they look like eyebrows over eyes....

These measure 22.5\" wide, 51\" high & 1.5\" thick. The original forged iron handle latch is present, as is the interior emco iron pole lock...
