These Engines often had Names to go along with them such as Side oiler , Boss , Cleveland , Windsor , Cobra Jet , Super Cobra Jet , Hi-Po , K Motor , Sohc Single Overhead cam or Sock Motor ,Hi Riser , Medium Riser and Low Riser. Some of these High Performance Cars were equipped with Dual Point and Even Transistorized Ignitions. Some Had Holley Four Barrel Carburetors. Some Had Three Holley Two Barrels for a Tri-Power Setup and the Real Monsters Had Dual Quads Aka Two HolleyFour Barrel Carburetors for the Ultimate in Induction. Some even had Paxton Superchargers!These Powertrains were backed up with Ford Top Loader Manual Transmissions or C6 , C4 , Fmx and Cruise o Matic Automatic Transmissions Just to name a few!Rear Axles were Ford 9 Inch which by the way is what Nascar still Uses to this day.
