Up for sale is a Scarce,Vintage Original Boxing promotional broadside poster plus a fully illustratedboxing history photobook.

First, is an original broadsideposter for Sensational Sammy Harris, Akron’s Lightweight Contender. This promotes Harris as being 19 years old,65 fights – won 62 and 20 were by knock out.The poster says that, “This Brownskin Boy Always Repeats As He Is Clean,Classy, Colorfull”. Managed by Harry “Ping”Auber. Has some tanning and creasing andhandling. Measures h-12 ½ x w-9inches.

Second is, A Pictorial History ofBoxing by Nat Fleischer and Sam Andre.NY: Citadel Press,1959. 320 pages.Featuring hundreds of rarely seen archival photographs andillustrations, this chronicles the early history of the sport, the stars ofboxing, through the mid-twentieth century.Bound in reddish cloth with gilt design on front panel and lettering tospine; Very good with some foxing and tanning; lacking dust jacket.
