An earthenware baby plate (c. 1.5\" h. x 6.15\" d.), decorated with \'Greetings\' (HW7), in production by 1937 and discontinued in 1952 and incorporating facsimile Barbara Vernon \'signature\' to bottom right.The underside bears the early Bunnykins \'Tug of War\' backstamp together with the Royal Doulton \'A mark\', indicative of the Board of Trade\'s wartime restrictions on the manufacture and sale of decorated wares, c. 1942-52, in green and a hand-painted decorator\'s cipher in brown .Loss or scratching to the transfers is commensurate with age and usage and there is no discernable crazing.
