I found this amazing piece at an estate sale here in soca! Just driving along minding my own business when I spotted the sign on the road...It was mid day and usually the early birds have plucked everything of value...Not so! This was one of the best sales I have been to in years. These people collected very fine antiques from all the exotic ports from China to Africa. Some how it all worked together to make a luscious casbah.
I have never seen anything quite as nice as this piece in my resent trips to the middle east or north africa..It is a real antique and at least 50 + years old. It is in perfect condition with dents or bad wear. It is made of a light weight tin/silver mix or German silver as it was called.
I have no idea what if says but it is most likely a prayer of praise. It closes with a tiny 1\" pin on a chain that slides through the hinge.
