The title of this large hard-covered book is ThisIs The American Earth. Included with this book is a signedcard, with Ansel Adams’ signature. The bulk of the photography is bythe much-loved, American, photographer, AnselAdams. The design is by, NancyNewhall. The Sierra Club is the publisher of this second printing, with a copyright date of 1960. It has 89 pages. The book measures approximately 13 ¾” X 10½” X ¾”. The boards are green with the title printed in gilt on the front cover.The title, Adams & Newhall, and the publisher name are printed in gilt on thespine. The endpapers are green. The libraryof Congress catalog card # is 60-1364. This book contains many beautiful blackand white photographs, by many well-known photographers, as well as by Ansel!
The dust jacket is price clipped, and is enclosed in aBro-Dart cover. The Bro-Dart cover is torn in the back. There is some light wear to both the jacket,and the book. There is some light foxing to the top page edges of the book,otherwise the interior is clean and unmarked, but with light toning. The binding shows some cocking.

This is a fine book to add to your photography bookcollection. You not only get to enjoy Ansel’s photographs, but the photographsof Bullock, Cartier-Bresson, Porter and Weston, to name a few. Adams andNewhall made a great team in producing fine books, and then addin the signature card, and you have a fine collectible!
