As her offspring venture forth to join the life of the forest, it is the parent whose watchful eyes will be alert for perils unknown to the heedless young.\" - Mark Hopkins. My apologies that the pictures fall quite short of doing this sculpture justice. I can\'t even begin to adequately describe what a powerful piece it is in person. The surroundings the wolf is within are fascinatingly and superbly intricate, and the detailing of the wolf is phenomenal. This sculpture was first released in April 2000and sold out in 2006. From The Mountain Wildlife Collection of the Wild Domain Series, it is number 22 of the 550-piece edition. It measures 24”x17”. The original issue price of “Sanctuary” was $1495,and it is now only available for purchase on the secondary market where it is VERY rarely found. Due to its high demand and overwhelming popularity, this piece\'s selling price had already increased to $1995 by the time it sold out. It currently has an updated value of $2800.00 as per an independent appraisal that was done in 2010.
