* Solid Silver- Handeled Mug - 1858 - Sheffield - Henry Wilkinson & Co - 125g:
Today I am selling a Sterling Silver Goblet mug. This mug was made in Sheffield in 1858 by Henry Wilkinson & Co. This piece is 126mm height. It is mainly decorated with a floral repusse pattent of fruits. To the middle there are engraved initials ENM. This was most likely presented as a wedding gift. To the bottom of the cup there is engraved the silversmiths name : J.C.JACOB, SILVERSMITH , LIVERPOOL. The mug is hallmared by the rim with makers inicials ' H W & Co' Which stands for Henry Wilkinson & Co, this is followed by the 'Lion Passant' Sterling proof hallmark. Next to it 'P' which is the code for date of 1858, crown which is the assey mark for Sheffield followed by the duty hallmark with Queens Victoria's head. This mug would make a fantastic addition to any silver collection. Very nice piece.Weight: 125 grams126mm Height
