The two piece egg-shaped bowl has embossed floral decoration on the lid and a cast figural bird finial on top. Raised on a three legged curved stand, it includes a warmer and an interior 4-egg rack. A photo and note from the owner indicate theVictorian egg coddler is circa 1870 and it was purchased in 1957 at Linz Jewelry in Dallas. As shown in the last photo the Makers mark is on the underside.
MEASUREMENTS: Stands 9 1/2 inches high, 4 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches deep.
CONDITION: Excellent estate condition. Hand polished. Nodents, dings, scratches or missing parts. It is balanced and stable when standing upright.
