*Vintage Royal Doulton Figurine THE PIED PIPER H N 2102 Harradine 1952*

A beautiful Royal Doulton figurine that depicts the character inspired by a medieval legend. It was later popularized in the Grimm\'s fairy tale, The Pied Piper of Hamelin. The figurine features little rats on the base which the piper lured into the river with his magical flute. The piece is approximately 8 3/4\" tall and was designed by Leslie Harradine, a company designer form 1920 until the 1950\'s. It has an impressed mare and green stamp with date of 1952 (see photos). It is in very good vintage pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
