Rare vintage/antique Liggett’s “Hard CandySticks” candy tin with recessed lid. Small oval gold metal tin with colorfulred, yellow and green 1920s-era lithographed graphics of two little boysplaying stickball with Liggett’s hard candies.Engraved underneath: \"Tindeco\". Tin measures 4.75” long x 3.5” wide x 4.5”tall.

The Tin Decorating Company of Baltimore(Tindeco) made decorative tins for candy, Tobacco and other products startingin 1914. In dating this tin, the onlyreference I could find to Liggett’s was a 1920s magazine advertisement forLiggett’s chocolates.

Good clean antique condition with age-relatedoverall peppered-pitting of litho ink.Lithographed colors have faded to a nice, very mellowed patina. One long scratch down center of one side. Spot rust/tarnish along tin surface & sidesof lid, with some loss of gold. Bottom has overall spotted tarnish. Deep tarnish to rim edges of lid andtin. No dents. See photos.
