A CLEAN Vlchek Military Jeep Tool Kit Hammer, about as RAREas it gets!!!!

I believe the Vlchek Tool Company was one of the majorsuppliers for tools for the Military Jeeps and other military vehicles duringthe WWII era.

I believe this to be the correct MilitaryWWII Jeep tool kit 16 oz Ball Peen Hammer for the WWII Military Jeeps, and mayhave been used for other Military vehicle tool kits as well, as theCCW-353-6x4, the CCKW and the DUKW 2 1/2 ton vehicles.

I believe the military Jeep part #’s wereFederal stock # 41-H-523, Willys # A-373, and Ford # GP-17042.

The hammer head is stamped correctly with theVLCHEK MADE IN USA trade mark on one side ofthe head.

The hammer head is 4” wide, has a 1 1/4”hammer face.

The hammer is 13 3/4” long, and weighs 1 lb.6 ozs., and the head was weighed before installing the handle and weighed 16.1ozs.

Per Mil. Specs.The head is to be in natural oil finish, the handle is to be sealed in naturaloil / linseed oil, and 14 3/8” long + or – 1/2”

The head has been cleaned and oil rubbed. TheNew Old Stock handle was installed cleaned, then sanded and finished inArcher’s 100% linseed oil, then sealed with natural oil.

The hammer is in good condition, the handle is new Old Stock……..As with thevintage of the hammer, the head has a couple of light dings and dents aroundhammer face and some scratches and some discoloration, as noted from thephotos.

The hammer would be a great enhancement to any Jeepcollection.
