\"Antique Solid Silver Ladies Card Case Novelty Envelope\" It is fully English hallmarked for Chester 1916 and the makers mark is \"ALLd\" for Adie & Lovekin Ltd who were fine silversmiths of the era. The case is in excellent condition with no dings or dents, it has a spring hinge on the lid which works well. The case is decorated on both sides with a pretty engraved knotwork pattern and has a cartouche with engraved initials. It measures 78mm x 53mm and is complete with a chain and finger loop. A superb example of a ladies silver card case which would enhance any collection.
