Up for sale is a Original 1957 (C1) Gillette Diplomat TTO safety razor, case, and the original 10 blade dispenser of Blue Blades - 1 blade. I have included a sealed 12 pack of original 1976 Diplomat Super + Platinum razor blades. Also included are 26 Gillette NOS razor blades so you can add them to your collection, or use them to experience a shave of the past. i have never used this razor. It was too nice to use! I have also added an original copy of the instruction pamphlet that came with this razor. *This razor has been cleaned, hand polished, lubricated, sanitized, and is ready to use right out of the box, when you receive it! This Gillette Diplomat razor is as nice now as when it was purchased years ago. It looks like this Diplomat was tried out a time or two and put back in its case for the next 60 years. The lacquer over the Gold plating is totally present with just a few tiny rubs on one blade door and a couple of flea bites to be seen on the razor. The Gold plating is flawless! Please check all the pictures out! This 1957 Gillette razor is the last year that a fixed head Diplomat model was made! This model Diplomat Gillette razor was made from 1953 until 1957. I have a Diplomat in my razor rotation and I would have to say it is my favorite Gillette model! The Gillette razor case is also in excellent condition. The gold plating around the case is near perfect. The clear plastic top liner insert is intact with no cracks or breaks. The case spring is strong and holds the case together tightly. It has a few light blemishes in the case interior and a small split in the material by the razor handle. The case has been cleaned and hand polished. It has done its job protecting this little piece of Gillette razor history. This would be an excellent Gillette razor to add to your collection, or if you choose, a pristine razor that would last you a lifetime of shaves!
