Up for sale is an excellent \'faux\' tortoise shell box in perfect condition. No chips, cracks or missing \'faux\' tortoise shell. The box is made of shell on all sides. All of the silver in perfect order. Size: 7 1/2\"W: 3 5/8\" D: 1\"H. The shell is highly polished so the well known wavy shell watermarks are visable on all sides, especially on the top. Hallmarked silver, I have included a closer shot of the two stamped hinges. The makers mark appears on the front edge of the inside of the box directly above the push button closure \' Drew & Sons Piccadilly Circus\' . All of the silver hardware is firmly secured with silver pins. The push button box opening mechanism works perfectly. Nice flush fit of the top of the box onto the bottom half. Original three division dividers also in solid shell. All the shell on the bottom half of the box is a good 3mm thick, the thickness of the slightly domed top a bit less.
