Papa Smurf Drinking Glass

You are viewing a “Papa Smurf” character glass. It was featured at Hardees Restaurants as a promotional item in 1983 along with other smurf characters. Papa is brewing up a batch of party punch (and if you are familiar with this set of glasses) for Smurfette\'s Birthday.

The painting on the glass is bright and it is in nearly new condition. There are no cracks, chips, stains wear-marks or dishwasher etching.Dishwasher etching is the cloudy residue with pitting that forms on glass because of the chemical action of dishwasher detergents. This will also fade the colors of these painted glasses. This and all fine glass pieces should be hand washed using a mild detergent or soap.

Most folks saved their favorite smurf glasses as collectibles and used the less popular characters for everyday use. If you dare use them, each glass holds 16 ounces of liquid. They are 6” tall and slightly tapered. The diameter varies from 2 ¾” at the center to 2 1/2” at the top.
