Offered for your consideration is this rare \"Blue Children\" ware decorated vase.
This series was introduced in the 1890\'s augmented in 1915 and discontinued by 1930. Although mostly printed, the scenes had additional background detail painted by hand. This vase appears to have been signed by the artist although the name is virtually unreadable. This particular scene is shown in Vol. 3, Pg. 52 in Louise Irvine\'s Royal Doulton Series Ware.
While the overall vase is in excellent condition with no observed chips or crazing it does have as shown in photo 4 a tight hairline crack and as a result the offering price is reduced.
