Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt from 1942 - vintage and origjnal measuring 3\" x 4\" in nice condition (as seen) . Christmas card depicts a photo of the President and First Lady at The White House during the summer of 1942 at the height of Word War II .. (as seasoned collectors know.. the FDR picture Christmas cards from 1942 and 1943 are far rarer and more collectible than the common generic FDR Christmas cards issued from 1936-1941) This item was acquired from a local estate of an associate who worked in the White House for President Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. What makes it unigue is that it is also accompanied by its original Presidential White House enclosure envelope as seen.. that is also hand addressed in the actual hand of Eleanor Roosevelt to \"Margaret\" in fine blue ink.. and guaranteed as such... the original White House enclosure envelope has the required raised Gold Embossed Seal of the President on back flap as are all the enclosure envelopes that accompanied FDR issued Official White House Christmas cards from 1933-1944.. If you ever see one offered WITHOUT the required raised Gold Embossed Presidential Seal you can rest assured its NOT the original White House Christmas card enclosure envelope.. but instead a replacement !!
