1/6 PLATE TINTYPE - CRAZY FUNNY & WHIMSICAL - MAN SITTING ON TOP OF ANOTHER MAN?- The sixth plate you are viewing will certainly make you smile and question exactly what the heck is going on in this photography??? I have contemplated this tintype for a long time and here is my conclusions...A. the image appears to be a father and son and B. the son seems to be either on top of a cloth covered box on all fours or possibly preforming a feat of strength with his legs out and supporting his father on his back? If so, the strongman feat is the first I have ever seen on a tintype. (Check out my second image in my listing and you can see the son appears to have his leg/s extended behind him.)

All I can say is this is one of the craziest and most whimsical tintypes I have ever encountered. Therefore,I am sure this antique photograph will be cherished by any collector with a great appreciation of the Victorian humor.Good luck to the winning buyer!

CONDITION:Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description. What this sixth plate is lacking in condition is made up by the super rare subject matter. The image contains weaker contrast, several small creases, surface abrasions yet, nice sharpness for such a difficult situation or pose. None of these condition issues seem to affect the overall rarity of the subject matter.
